On November 1st we pay tribute and remember all those Bulgarians who devoted their lives to the Bulgarian spirituality, language and culture and did so much to preserve our people’s sense of national pride.
The Bulgarian history and our unique culture keep the names of numerous Bulgarians we can proudly call enlighteners of the nation. Each historical time has its own enlighteners. Today’s enlighteners are the thousands of Bulgarians working in the field of education and culture, the teachers in Bulgaria, as well as the Bulgarian teachers abroad.
Traditionally, on that day we express our sincerest gratitude and support to all Bulgarian schools in the United States, to their principals, teachers, students, donors and parents, who contribute to the preservation of the Bulgarian language, culture and traditions in the dynamic and culturally and ethnically diverse environment of America.
