On May 12th, 2018, the EU Open House was held at the Bulgarian Embassy. Тhe EU Member States’ embassies and the EU Delegation in Washington, DC participated in the initiative.
The cultural program included performances of folk songs and dances by children from the Bulgarian schools in Washington DC, Richmond (Virginia) and Baltimore (Meryland). The main focus of the program was the performance of the vocal ensemble Orpheus directed by the folk singer Tatyana Sarbinska.
The program presented the rich cultural heritage and traditions of our country and received the admirations of the residents and guests of the American capital. The visitors had the opportunity to taste Bulgarian wine and traditional food like yogurt, banitsa, lutenitsa and other delicacies provided by Bulgarian manufacturers and importers.
