On the occasion of the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the American University in Bulgaria a traditional reception took place at the Bulgarian Embassy on January 25th, 2019.
The event was jointly hosted by Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev, the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the AUBG Prof. Ivan Manev, and the President of the University, Prof. Steven Sullivan. 
The event was attended by members of the Board of Trustees and Faculty, and more than 70 alumni of the American University. Former American Ambassadors to Bulgaria Avis Bohlen and James Pardew were special guests.
