Ambassador Panayotov participated in a Delphi Forum roundtable discussion

Ambassador Georgi Panayotov participated in a roundtable discussion “From Sea to Shining Seas: The Untapped potential of the 3 Seas Initiative”. The event took place within the framework of the Delphi Economic Forum and was co-organized by the Atlantic Council.

Other panelists included Tasos Chatzivasileiou, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, and Georgette Mosbacher, Co-Chair of the Three Seas Initiative Program at the Atlantic Council and former U.S. Ambassador to Poland. Ian Brzezinski, senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, was chairing the panel. The Delphi Forum also featured the participation of Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy, Zhecho Stankov, along with representatives of the Bulgarian business community.

Ambassador Panayotov highlighted the importance of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) for European cohesion, security, connectivity, and prosperity along the North-South axis. He emphasized that its geostrategic significance, growth potential, and highly skilled workforce make it a key opportunity, especially when aligned with EU policies and regional priorities, including those related to the Black Sea.

Ambassador Panayotov conveyed three key messages from Bulgaria: Bulgaria is committed to strengthening the Three Seas Initiative and transatlantic cooperation.  Bulgaria seeks to enhance security and connectivity in the Black Sea region.  Bulgaria is interested in investments in transport, energy, and digital connectivity.
