The new member of the Bulgaria Caucus in the U.S. Congress is Congressman Brian Babin, a Republican representing the state of Texas. Congressman Babin has served in the U.S. Air Force at Ramstein Air Base in Germany and is a staunch opponent of communist and totalitarian regimes. He is among the most ardent supporters of Israel on the Hill and expressed his immense gratitude for Bulgaria’s rescue of nearly 50,000 Jews during the dark years of World War II.
One of Brian Babin’s priorities is space exploration. Ambassador Panayotov informed him about the success of Bulgarian businesses in this field and their partnership with the U.S. He extended an invitation to Congressman Babin to participate in this year’s edition of the event “Hello, Space, Bulgaria is Calling.”
